DateRuler is an independent publication of Ecomparadise, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company. It publishes free date, time and everyday-cost calculators: days between dates, ages, countdowns, business days, shift hours and what an appliance costs to run, for anyone planning around a date, a deadline or a bill. Every tool runs in your browser, needs no sign-up and shows how its answer was reached.

Who publishes DateRuler
DateRuler is published by Ecomparadise, LLC, an independent Ohio limited liability company, and runs under its own name. It is not owned by a media group, bank, retailer or software company, and no advertiser or partner has a say in what it publishes. The site is edited by Alex, who chooses what to build, checks each tool against its sources and is responsible for every page. Alex uses a first name only for privacy and does not claim professional credentials; the trust you can place in a result comes from the cited sources and the worked checks on each page, which you can verify yourself.
What DateRuler does
- Builds calculators on standard, published formulas and names the formula on the page.
- Uses data from primary sources only, each linked with the edition or date it covers.
- Shows a worked check on each tool so you can reproduce the answer by hand or in a spreadsheet.
- Keeps what you type on your device. There are no accounts and no analytics that record your inputs.
What DateRuler does not do
- It is not a legal, payroll or HR service. Deadline and business-day counts are arithmetic, not advice on statutory or contract deadlines.
- It is not an energy supplier and has no deal with one; electricity costs use published state averages unless you enter your own rate.
- It does not publish user ratings, testimonials, “as seen in” badges or claims of lab testing, and it does not have a staff of experts. It is one editor, using published sources and automated tests.
How DateRuler makes money
DateRuler is free and has no paywall, accounts or sign-up. It is funded in two ways, both disclosed on the disclosure page:
- Affiliate links. A few pages recommend one tool that helps with the job on the page (for example a kitchen scale or a plug-in power meter). These are Amazon links; if you buy, the site earns a commission at no extra cost to you. They are labelled next to the link.
- Advertising: none today. The site plans to apply for Google AdSense. Any ads will be labelled and kept apart from calculator results.
No advertiser, partner or affiliate can change a formula, a data value or a result, and none has asked to.
How we check our work
Every tool is tested before publication and reviewed on a schedule. Read the editorial policy and methodology for the full process, sources and review dates. Fixes are listed on the corrections log and other changes on the changelog.
